Family-owned company - Drilling wells for nearly 140 years
The Malmberg Family from the village of Yngsjö, on the lovely coast of southeast Sweden, is proud of its continuing traditions as expert well-drillers for nearly 140 years. In 1976 an artesian well was discovered by chance on Malmberg property. This well produced excellent mineral water that was first bottled in 1990 and marketed under the proud name of Malmberg Original: "Malmberg" after the man, Per Malmberg, who discovered the water, and "Original" after the absolute originality of the water (our Malmberg Original mineral water has been determined to be 5245 +-75 years old).
Organisation, location and sales
Malmberg Original Water AB is owned by the parent company MalmbergGruppen AB. The Malmberg artesian spring and the Malmberg head offices are located in Yngsjö, a quiet village beautifully situated near the resort town of Åhus on Hanö Bay, in the Baltic Sea along the coast of Sweden. Malmberg Original Water AB is run efficiently by two employees under the direction of Managing Director Per Malmberg, fourth generation well-driller.
Annual sales of Malmberg Original amount to SEK 5 million = EUR 532 thousand (June 2005).
